I am a highly charged, remarkably focused and uniquely independent individual who loves meeting and helping people to better their lives. People have always sought my advice and counsel. My belief is that everyone, through their encounters, experiences and education (formal and life) has something to be shared with others. Finding that gift is often the most challenging thing for a person.
I have been most fortunate to find how I can be a blessing to others with all I know and have faced throughout my life. My experiences have been many, from consulting in the video business, to being a water inspector/consultant, and mentoring hundreds of engaged and married couples, I have experienced life from many different perspectives. With each encounter, I become a better person through understanding someone else’s journey.
I love cars! Not only have I owned nearly 1,000 myself, I helped a collector acquire many rare cars to add to his personal muscle car collection. I do not hold onto any car for an extended period, it is more about buying, fixing, driving, and selling. This has caused many challenges in my marriage, especially when I sold our only automatic vehicle, bought a stick-shift, and told my wife she needed to learn to drive it before work the next day…yes, I know, that was pretty harsh, but knew she would prove she could do it!
I have a thirst for knowledge, and I am always researching to get to the truth of the matter. This has led me to become a certified ASE mechanic, a certified residential and commercial mold inspector, certified residential environmental inspector, certified FEMA (disaster housing) instructor, licensed insurance adjuster, certified residential remediation inspector, certified commercial remediation inspector, loss control instructor, loss control consultant, commercial financial inspector, fraud investigator/trainer/instructor, and certified marriage mentor.
Together, my wife and I have written six books. Our first book, Why Do You Want What You Want? won an international award. Through these books, our workshops, and seminars, we look for ways to help others navigate the many transitions they face throughout life.
For over thirty years I have trained, mentored, and consulted with individuals and couples who are in career transition, exposing many of them to the hidden industry of insurance inspections for residential and commercial. My exposure in this industry has been far-reaching and quite extensive, from settling personal claims to assisting others in coming to an understanding of the policy and coverages.
For several years I trained CAT adjusters, FEMA (disaster housing) inspectors, loss control consultants, residential insurance/mortgage inspectors. Also, through our company, All Fields Training, we were a provider of the Texas All-Lines Adjuster License, which is the #1 license an adjuster must have to perform CAT insurance adjusting withing the United States.
When I am not mentoring, training or consulting, I am passionate about raising German Shepherds. My wife, of 30 years, has convinced me they are the best dog for someone with my temperament. We have always had at least two, sometimes three, but we are currently without any. Another passion is getting people together. No matter what time of year, season, or event, I love hosting get-togethers. We typically host an average of twelve parties a year.
I have a passion for helping people, no matter how. There is a type of satisfaction that comes only when I know I have helped an individual with a particular problem and was able to provide the solution that changed the perceived outcome. I appreciate life, family, friends, and others who God sends into my life, for a purpose. I have been extremely blessed in many ways, so this is my way of being a blessing to others, especially in this industry that is purposely complex by nature and hard to navigate.
As I continue to share my knowledge, it is all about making a difference in the lives of those I encounter. I have a unique blend of skills, experiences, and passion that helps me make valuable contributions to those I connect with. Empowerment Through Expertise is my motto and what I hold true to in helping others navigate this process. I bring forth my expertise to help empower you to make the best choices and decisions, that will be to your benefit.
